It’s the 2017 Formula 1 Singapore Airlines, Singapore Grand Prix weekend. The one and only night race on the Formula-1 calendar that boasts to the world, the Singapore skyline. Quite evidently, has attracted a steady increase of visiting motorsports fans.

Though there would be plenty of food & liquid gold available all over the Marina Bay Circuit, the weather is convincing enough to drive visitors & fans into the neighboring malls. On practice days & qualifying days, with some luck, one just might be able to cross path with some of the race drivers.

In case you don’t already know, Emporium Shokuhin is a pretty impressive Japanese Gourmet Grocer; that showcases their live seafood almost like an aquarium, with quite a wealthy selection of aged beef & deli, and Japanese brews of beers & sakes too.

In total, they’ve got a total of 9 dining joints, at varied price points, catering to different dining experiences. Feeling a famished & dehydrated, my business counterpart and I decided on Senmi Sushi, owing to the ongoing 1-for-1 Hon Maguro Promotion (limited period: Sep 4 , 2017 till Oct 31, 2017).

21463199_10155035585382709_230742934037197406_nAnd there are more than 15 Signature Bluefin Tuna selections: Otoro, Chutoro, Akami Sashimi, Super Bluefin Tuna Temaki, Bluefin Tuna & Uni Bomb, Spicy Tuna Maki, Negitoro Don, Akami Tsuke Don, Katsuo Sarada, Katsuo Carpaccio, Special Negitoro Wrap etc.

From the list, you would know it’s best to indulge with tuna loving foodies.

21558659_10155035585462709_724527702445094211_nAt Senmi Sushi, they’re also renowned for the Giant Chirashi Don (for 2-3pax) – comprising of a tub of sushi rice, diameter spanning almost the width of the table. Topped with thick cubes of Cucumber, Maguro, Salmon, Mekajiki, Tamago and Ikura.

Priced at a little more, one can indulge in the Giant Premium Chirashi Don (features additional fresh Ebi, Hottate and Ikura).

On the menu, there are plenty more Sashimi, Maki, Temaki & Nigari Sushi to choose from. There’s also a list of beers, 4-5yr old white wines and sake to go with the food.

All in all, accessibility, quality & quantity of food, and price point, I would say is money worthwhile spending. Especially, now with the ongoing 1-for-1 Hon Maguro promotion. In fact, I’m planning on revisiting, to pamper myself with some serious Tuna indulgence.
